Try investing in 5 or 7 clips with hair attached to them.(odd numbers work better)
I found these in a chemist/drug store - try dress-up shops or hair specialists.
These ones were $8 each about 3 years ago. (I'm posting this in 2010)
Once you have them you have them forever if you take care of them and your mates think you have heaps of cash as you keep changing your hair colour all the time! lol
